  1. Interested in all these things but also some basic skills if attacked despite all preventive measures. Is this part of the course?

  2. Thanks for the question! Yes – in this course we teach what we call “environmental awareness,” meaning participants will learn how to NOT get themselves into a bad situation. If you are attacked in spite of this awareness, however, then you must know how to defend yourself…and this course also includes such techniques. You will learn verbal defenses, and learn how to use simple techniques to handle an actual physical attack. Hope this answers your question! ;-)

  3. Are you mostly oriented toward teaching women and children? I’m interested in possibly learning some basic self-defense. I’m 56, male. Do you have courses for older men?
    Thanks

  4. Good question! Most of the EZ Defense courses we teach are geared towards women and children, although we do offer some for men and co-ed workshops. This course is a one-day, four-hour course. You might be interested in our regularly scheduled Cardio Combat course offered weekly at the dojo. It’s a fun but beneficial class that meets every Tues/Thurs from 5:30-6:30pm; and Mon/Wed from 9:00-10:00am, and it goes over basic, intermediate and then advanced self-defense techniques. (And the instructor is 54 yrs. old!) Please go here for more info: http://wayoftheopendoor.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=99&Itemid=72
